Real teacher-guided learning for Australian travelling families

Structured English, Maths and Project lessons your child can access anywhere – while you stay the guide on the side.

What makes Road School work…

Homeschooling your kids on the road shouldn’t be stressful. In fact, it should be simple. Road School works because we give you what others don’t… a teacher. Most services will only provide a bunch of worksheets to give your kids to complete. This leaves you to be the teacher. But what do you do (as the teacher) when your kids don’t ‘get it’, or more commonly you don’t ‘get it’? Our travelling families almost always have the same answer: argue!

FAQs

How do I get started?
It’s simple… choose a year level for each learner, provide your details, then you’ll have access to all the lessons your little travellers will need to learn, out there in our great country.

How is the learning organised? Once you have access, you’ll see each term’s lessons on the ‘learner dashboard’. Each term is 10 weeks long and usually centres around a particular part of the Australian Curriculum. Each term, there’s an English, Maths and a ‘Project’ unit, which provides learning from other curriculum areas.

What subjects are included?
We provide lessons in English and Maths, as well as a ‘Project’ cycle (connected across subjects) including a mixture of Science, Technologies, HaSS, Health and the Arts.

Is the Road School Syllabus connected to a particular curriculum?
We use the nation-wide Australian Curriculum as the basis for all our learning.

Can I modify the lessons?
Absolutely! You have the flexibility to change the order of lessons, resources used or any other aspect of your child’s learning. We just provide an all-inclusive plan to start, which you can stick with to the letter, or adapt as you see fit.

How is the billing process conducted?
Once enrolled, your first week’s payment will be taken, then weekly from then on. Please note that once you’ve completed the simple sign-up process, there’s nothing left to do in terms of payments. These will continue each week automatically.

What is your policy on cancellations?

You can cancel your enrolment at any time, and your payments will stop at the end of that week. In other words, you will be charged your weekly payments for your current access, and then your membership (and payments) will cease. However, we strive to accommodate your needs, so contact us first to discuss.

Do you provide for NDIS students?

Absolutely. If your are a self-managed NDIS family, just reach out to our customer support team and they will assist you with obtaining an invoice with all the NDIS-required details.
